It's Aloha Friday...well almost

Just wanted to share some Leis that I made for my nephews in Arizona. Two of my sister's sons, Gage and Jarred (twins), are having their Confirmation next Sunday. I hope to get these in the mail for them by then.
It's a hawaiian tradition to give a person a lei(s) for any celebration. Recently, the trend has been less fresh flower leis, and more yarn ribbon leis (that can be kept forever). This is my first attempt using this fancy yarn. I think they look pretty nice. ?? Just hope my nephews like them. My fingers got pretty numb making them. LOL!

just another manic monday...

It was a crazy weekend. Didn't feel well, had big plans to go out with Girlfriends on sat. night~ but wasn't well enough to go. My body is not doing what I want it to. I'm still "lupy" or having a lupus flare. I'm tired all the time, which usually means that I have a fever. Dave has been taking Sienna to school in the mornings, so I can go back to sleep. Today, I couldn't get myself out of bed until 11:00. I know I bet you are saying "I wish I could be in bed until 11:00", but you wouldn't want to if you felt like me.

Anyway, I have been scrapping my butt off for 4 different DTs this month. Finished two of them, still need to work on the others. Yesterday and today were the only days I haven't scrapped in the past month. I think that I have met the limit of my creative capabilities. I am looking forward to making some LOs for myself, using everything and everything (DT projects are usually limited to the materials they send you)!

I was thinking of trying out for a couple of other design teams that are having calls, but I think I have enough on my plate, esp. with summer approaching.

Woodshoe Tulip Festival

It was a beatiful day today and we enjoyed it on our annual trip to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn.
Sienna had a great time, running through the rows of hundreds of tulips.

Happy Easter!

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend!
Unfortunately it showered all weekend here, so it put spoiled most of the egg hunts......but we did manage to sneak in one in our backyard.
Sienna got a big Easter basket from the Easter Bunny, filled with toys and candy. She was happy just to play with her goodies all day long.
Well, back to work, just finished Craft Warehouse DT assignment #2.

Well, on Wed. Sienna goes to the dentist to have a child root canal. I am dreading it all...her reaction, her pain, her distrust of all dentists... and having to deal with the aftermath...not looking forward to it at all.
